Teaching for Tomorrow: Multilingualism, Wellbeing and Sustainability in ELT Classrooms

HUPE is pleased to announce the 34th Annual National HUPE Conference, which will bring together English language teachers, educators, experts and ELT professionals for two days of learning, exchange and inspiration.

This year’s conference theme, Teaching for Tomorrow: Multilingualism, Wellbeing and Sustainability in ELT Classrooms, taking place November 20-21 in Zagreb at Hotel Antunovi, invites us to reflect on the future of English language teaching and the role teachers play in creating meaningful, inclusive and sustainable learning environments.

The conference programme will include 35 workshops and presentations and 4 plenary sessions, offering a wide range of topics, practical ideas and opportunities for professional development.

Conference fees

Refunds are only available until October 31 upon presentation of a valid reason and supporting documentation. From November 1 onward, we are unable to refund any fees.

Social dinner

HUPE will also organise a social dinner on Friday at 8:00 p.m.

The dinner will take place in a restaurant Bar&Ton Rougemarin, Avenija Dubrovnik 17, Zagreb. The exact restaurant menu details will be announced shortly, once the final confirmation has been received.

The price of the dinner is €28, with one drink included. Participation in the social dinner is optional and limited to 50 participants. An additional 10 places have been added to the registration form as a waiting list, in case any registered participants cancel their attendance.

Parking will be available, and the restaurant located close to public transport.

Participants who wish to attend the social dinner are kindly asked to register using the registration link. Payment will be made upon arrival at the conference.

Registration for the dinner will remain open until all available places have been filled.

Accommodation

Participants who wish to book accommodation at the conference hotel may do so by contacting the hotel directly via rezervacije@antunovic.hr using the hotel’s reservation form, as HUPE is not in charge of the accommodation.

The organized bus transportation by HUPE will not be available for this conference.

If you also wish to receive the certificate of participation issued by the Education and Teacher Training Agency (AZOO), make sure to register via the ettaedu portal once the conference is published there. However, registration via the HUPE website is mandatory and the only official way to register for the conference.
